Back Injury Attorneys
Back injuries are a common injury from a collision. If you’re involved in a collision and end up in the hospital emergency room they typically will perform an x-ray or a CAT scan and conclude the scan is negative, which means there are no broken bones in your back. Your spine is made up of vertebrae. You have vertebrae in your cervical spine (your neck area), your thoracic spine (your midsection) and your lumbar spine (your low back). Occasionally we will see in our back injury cases damage to the actual vertebrae and that can be a more significant back injury. In the majority of back injury cases we see, there is no damage to the vertebrae or bones in your back. However, all the ligaments, tendons, muscles, discs and all the other materials that are involved in making up the back can have damage that doesn’t show up on an x-ray or CAT scan. There is no way to know about those injuries. So, we have clients stating their back hurts, they have pain and numbness or pain radiating in their arms, legs, or both. Those can all be signs of back injuries arising out of a collision that are not bone injuries.
Your Recovery Is Always the Goal
The goal, always, in any of these back injury cases is to get you back to where you were before the collision. So, how do we get there? And how do we get there as quickly as possible, with the least amount of hassle possible, and get you compensated for your time and money that you missed out on from work, and get your bills paid. Our goal is to get all parties involved handled so you can try and put your life back to where it was before the back injury. So, you may need to change your therapy, you may need to see a specialist or have diagnostic testing done to figure out if there is something going on that needs to be repaired before you can try and recover.
At Willis, Willis and Rizzi we see these types of back injury cases all the time. We know the doctors and therapists, and we see who gets results and from which treatments. We help guide our clients through this process of recovery. That is always our goal!
Doctors are under a lot of stress these days from health insurance companies regarding how much time they spend with patients and how they bill their patients’ care. It takes some advocacy on the part of the patient and the attorney to get them in front of the right people who will pay attention to their needs and get them the care and treatment that they need to make as good a recovery as possible.
Why Willis, Willis and Rizzi?
As we talk about how doctors are under pressure to move patients through the system by health insurance companies, it is also true of your mass marketing, assembly line style personal injury attorneys. They are moving at a fast pace, fast food, assembly line process and they don’t have time to really care about what is best for the individual in that case. Their goal is to settle the case as quickly as possible, so that they can move on to the next case in their assembly line. That is not our goal.
At Willis, Willis and Rizzi, our goal is to take the time to figure out what our client needs and what is in their best interest, and to do what is right for the client!
